Devic Earth is looking for an Environmental Engineer for our Kadugodi, Bangalore head office. This role will be part of our Engineering Team which brings our Pure Skies technology to the public. Our Pure Skies technology is applicable to a wide range of market segments and geographic territories, with a B2B focus.

Job Summary
The Environmental Engineer will help to understand and analyse the impact of our revolutionary technology on air pollution. The Engineer will have the following duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide guidance on specifications to follow in Pure Skies installations

This involves understanding the site of installation and the nature of pollutants at that site. The engineer will also have to understand the interactions between pollutants and dependence on climatic conditions. A knowledge of atmospheric chemistry is preferred. an understanding of air pollution control devices employed is a bonus.

  • Work on the research and development of the next generation RF devices

This involves understanding of the current device and the conditions under which it is efficient. The engineer will use the current inputs and conduct research under different conditions to optimize the equipment. The position also involves designing test experiments both within the lab and in the field to test the device to ensure it is working as per the required specifications.

  • Provide guidance on the data analysis

The engineer will review the data analysis and provide suggestions and guidance on the different parameters that need to be taken into account. This requires an understanding of the possible parameters that could play a role in the increase or decrease of pollution at a particular area.

  • Oversee customer reporting requirements

This requires an understanding of what the customer requires in terms of reports and updates and ensuring these are provided in a timely manner. The engineer will work closely with the data analyst to provide the required information after doing the due diligence and quality checks
Qualifications and Skills

While the role of an Environmental Engineer is extremely technical, soft skills like active listening, verbal and written communication are essential to success. Environmental Engineers should also balance being able to work autonomously and cooperate with others. The following skills are preferred:

  • Experience in an environmental field, either water management, waste management or air pollution control

  • Knowledge in air pollution control devices preferred

  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

  • Proficiency in MS Offiice

  • Handling of objections, customer requests, and complaints

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

To be successful in this field, you will need to have B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A specialization in air pollution control is preferred. A certification will add value to you as a professional.

Compensation is a combination of a fixed component (₹40,000 per month) plus a variable component (group bonus). Medical insurance and PF begin after completion of probation period.
